A dental emergency can happen at any time, and leave you
feeling uncomfortable and in pain. We offer same-day emergency service to new
and existing patients. We understand how frustrating it can be dealing with a
dental emergency and the pain that goes along with it. For this reason, we
welcome you to call our office for same-day treatment of your emergency.
Why is treatment essential for Dental Emergencies?
It is critical that you have treatment for an emergency as
soon as feasibly possible. If the problem is ignored, it is likely to get worse
and require more extensive care to fix. When you handle the problem
immediately, you’re able to eradicate any pain or discomfort you’re
experiencing, and can get back to living life. We offer same-day care for both
pediatric and adult patients.
What are the most common Dental Emergencies?
We consider an emergency any dental situation that is
causing you pain, discomfort, and frustration. We will perform an exam to help
identify the cause of the emergency, and to create a personalized treatment
plan. Some of the more common emergencies include:
- Pain and toothache
- Abscesses and infections
- Teeth that have cracked, broken, or chipped
- Post-op complications
- Bleeding, swollen gums
- Orthodontic complications
- Restorations that have fallen out or broken
What happens during your Emergency appointment?
We may first need to take an x-ray of the area that is
causing you pain and discomfort to identify the underlying problem. If a
restoration has fallen out, we ask that you bring it with you for your
emergency appointment, as it may be able to be placed over the area again. An
exam allows us to check for any problems, and to create a personalized
treatment plan that’s right for you. Our same-day treatment of emergencies
means that you won’t need to wait days just to be seen, and can treat the
problem when it starts.
